AgSolutions LLC founder Anthony Taylor designed and oversaw construction of a hydrocooling system for the West Kentucky Growers Co-Op in Owensboro, Kentucky. The largest capacity hydrocooler in North America, this unit quickly removes heat from produce to maintain freshness. The system has operated since July 2000 without problems.

Our hydrocooler design allowed for any maintenance - planned or unexpected - to be simple and performed easily with full accessibility of all major components. The hydrocooler has two separately operable tunnels, each with a capacity of chilling 3200 gallons of water per minute to 34 degrees Fahrenheit. The rate of movement through the tunnel, which will change depending upon outside air temperatures, can be easily adjusted through a variable speed control.

We have also designed an innovative means to quickly cool melons. Our design utilizes the existing cooling capacity of the existing cold storage area and turns it into a highly efficient quick cooling system - without taking up valuable floor space.
